**Along the French Riviera**

**The French Riviera** is a series of coastal towns alongside Nice going southwest. Each town offers its own beach area. Driving through here on a Friday morning was very slow due to traffic jams. It seems like there is an event in each town. In-between towns, there are many good places to stop and just stare at the sea.

A stop at **Issambes**, just west of **St. Raphael.**

Porte Vendres

Just adjacent to Collioure is this pretty port. On a Saturday morning, it was bustling with buyers looking for fresh fish.


Looking for really good paella (rice fried in tomato sauce with chicken, vegetables, and sea food)? Check the stalls of the local market.
