Picos De Europa
The 'Picos' are the highest and finest peaks of north western Spain. They are situated in Cantabria, some 30 minutes' driving distance from the northern shores. 

Two towers in Potes form a silhouette with the Picos.

Potes Potes is a popular home base for those touring the mountains.	This castle at the centre of town offers a superb view of the mountains.

Santo Toribio This is a hillside monastery some 10 km away from Potes
