The Blue Mountains are a series of rock
formations , so-called because of the blue mist that tend to form along
the mountain valleys. About 45 minutes drive west from Sydney, the most
of famous of these formations is the Three Sisters, which is viewed from
a cliff edge at Echo Point at Katoomba.
