Ile Bonaventure

Every year, some 250,000 birds converge at this island sanctuary, feasting on the fish and vegetation brought about by the changing tides. To reach the island, you board a boat at the Perce docks. Until you get there, it is hard to imagine what to expect.

From afar, the island looks ordinary. But as your boat approaches, you notice thousands of birds flying overhead or perched on the cliffs. 

		The boat can let you off at the island but the docks are located at the far side. You need to hike on one of the trails to the sanctuary to see the birds. The shortest trail is a relatively easy 45-minute hike. (Tip: bring food and drinks. The one and only island eatery charges too much.)

Walk closer and the scene is simply indescribable.
