Along Route Des Grandes Alpes
We left the heavy traffic and highly
confusing streets of Nice by driving northbound along this scenic
mountain route towards the Alps. We stopped briefly at Entrevaux
and St. Julien-Du-Verdon, then settled at the picturesque village of Clelles.
|
Entrevaux
This medieval fortress-town along the
route lies between Provence and the Alps. It is surrounded by a
waterway and the town entrance is accesed through a draw bridge. The
citadel atop its hill and its cathedral are fascinating structures.

St. Julien-Du-Verdon
This town just 15 minutes north of
Entreveaux offers magnificent panoramic views of a man-made lake.
